Today is the oldest I ever been, and the youngest I’ll ever be again
The idea is attractive, but “great for everyone” excludes 10% of the population with red-green color blindness. They can interpret current signals based on position, but here they would have no idea if the light means go or stop.Also, it seems like certain efficiencies are lost if the light has to indicate how much time is left. When a busy street meets a lightly trafficked one, the light can just stay green until some action on the smaller street triggers a change.
